This course is design to give you the knowledge and confidence to use your VHF radio correctly & legally as well as showing you how to utilise the functionality of the radio to improve your communications with fellow sailors and official authorities.

To help you achieve this each student is :-

• Given access to our online e-Learning area prior to the course to enable you to get the most from the course day.
• On the course everyone is assigned their own full functional VHF DSC radio set for the course.

During the course we will go through a series of individual & group exercises to understand the digital/voice procedures and functions of using a VHF radio set.

At the end of the day their is a written & multiple choice paper to be completed, the content of which is covered during the course.
